Val's Rancer

Val's RancherVal's Rancher by Debra Kayn

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Val McDougal is a successful business owner in the small town she and her sisters grew up in. The only man Val has ever loved is walking back into her life after two years and she is more scared than ever that she will make a fool of herself.

Sam is returning to his hometown to take over his grandfather's ranch and correct the mistake he made of walking away from the best thing to happen to him - Val. He just hopes she feels the same for him as she used to, before he broke her heart.

Sam and Val had a relationship two years ago but Sam felt he needed to see the world while riding the rodeo circuit and he felt Val was too young to settle down for forever so he told her to grow up and left. Val took his advice, went to school and came back to run a successful bar/restaurant.

Val is emotionally drained, not only does she have to deal with Sam's return but she is also dealing with her father's sickness. She is sure that feelings for Sam will cost her more than she can give.

A wonderful sweet romance that had me on a roller coaster ride of emotions. I laughed and cried reading this as Val and Sam deal with their feelings and the sisters deal with their father.

Loved Val and Sam, the chemistry worked and you really believe the feelings they have for each other. Looking forward to more!
